52nd manned flight of the Soyuz. Soyuz TM-2 docked with Mir on 02/07/1987. Since that time station Mir was inhabited for more than two years, until 26.04.1989. The crews were changing at the station. Yuri Romanenko and Alexander Laveykin - the second long-term crew (the Main Expedition, OE-2) of Mir station. Because of the illness, Alexander Laveikin returned to the ground ahead of schedule. He was replaced Alexander Alexandrov from the crew Soyuz TM-3 .
